What is a laboratory grown diamond?
A laboratory grown diamond (LGD) is the process where a diamond is grown inside of a lab, instead of being mined from the earth. The laboratory grown diamond goes through a process in a lab which mimics the high pressure, high temperature process that takes placce underground, except it’s happening above ground in a laboratory instead. There are two methods in which laboratory diamonds are made: CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) and HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) both methods produce diamonds made from pure crystallized carbon, just like a natural mined diamond.
What is a natural mined diamond?
A natural mined diamond is a diamond that has been created underground in the earth formed in carbon, and that carbon has been subjected to high pressure, high temperature deep from under the earth’s crust.
Does a laboratory grown diamond look any different than a natural mined diamond?
Laboratory grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically the same as a natural mined diamond.
Do you have any pictures of laboratory grown diamonds I can see?
Yes, on our “Home” page, the “About” page you’ll see a picture of our “Storm” pendant is filled with dazzling round brilliant laboratory grown diamonds.
What does VVS and VS Mean?
VVS means (Very Very Slightly included) inclusions in the diamond. VS means (Very Slightly included) inclusions in the diamond. These slight inclusions can’t be seen with the naked eye, and are usually considered “eye-clean” diamonds because they are barely seen, or unnoticed even using a loupe at 10X magnification, or a microscope.
What method for laboratory grown diamonds are used in your pendants?
The laboratory grown diamonds we use in our pendants are made using the CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) process. The CVD diamonds we use make for a better quality diamond. The end result is a finer, cleaner, and brighter diamond. We enjoy using these diamonds because they have great cut, color, and clarity.
do Any OF youR PRODUCTS use certified laboratory grown diamonds?
Some of our products offering larger diamonds, and these items will use laboratory grown diamonds that have been Certified by The International Gemological Institute (IGI) to show that there have been no treatments including nitrogen to the diamonds before, or afterward in the diamonds creation.
Using these certified diamonds for our products with larger diamonds allows for more transparency for our clients, and the diamond has a stamp of approval having been examined, and tested by a globally recognized gemological institute.
Do any of your pendants use natural mined diamonds?
Currently the pendants we offer only use laboratory grown diamonds at this time. In the near future we will offer the option to add natural mined diamond(s) to a pendant. Please note the cost difference for natural mined diamonds is more expensive, and our pricing will reflect that.
Can I return my pendant?
